Brightrock Games will soon let players manage their own sci-fi space hospital in Galacticare, which will be officially released on May 23, 2024.

In the upcoming hospital management simulator, players will become the director, whose responsibility focuses on curing 49 different conditions. These are afflicting the minds and bodies of some of the galaxy's alien populations.

Players will be able to equip their hospitals with various specialist rooms, bioluminescent grubs, and highly skilled medical professionals. You will have the ability to control every little detail in order to run the most successful space hospital in the galaxy.

Galacticare features several unique species with their own needs and traits, doctors with various quirks, and consultants who have expansive skill trees. The game seems to be a mix of other titles, such as Two Point Hospital and Theme Hospital, but found in a sci-fi setting, according to GameWatcher.

In order to keep everyone relatively content, which is one of the primary goals of Galacticare, you will have to satisfy their various needs. These include nutrition, claustrophobic spaces, micturition, art, postmodern art, and many other demands that they could have.

There are also ever-evolving problems that come with running a hospital and players will have to build and improve their treatment facilities so that they can address these challenges. The game features a campaign mode and a sandbox mode.

With the various species that players will encounter in the game, they can develop their relationships to earn rewards from their respective cultures. Galacticare pits players into various scenarios, such as musical festivals, deep-space prisons, communal space farms, and industrial disasters.

In Galacticare, you can upgrade rooms, analyze the thoughts of everyone who is aboard your station, and buy unique equipment from a large wandering trader. You can also work to maximize your efficiency to reap the rewards of healthcare excellence, said Gematsu.

You can also acquire and utilize a variety of additional tools and equipment that will help you boost your hospital's effectiveness. These include holographic doctors, short-range teleporters, and subspace portals that invite more problems into your facilities.

A Future of Advanced Technology

The setting of the game is in a vision of the 23rd Century where humans and aliens coexist in a future filled with advanced technology. Players will also have to take care when managing their hospitals as everything they do is costly.

Managing your funds is a crucial aspect of Galacticare and involves maintaining a staff, researching various species of aliens to learn more about their health needs, buying equipment, and increasing your so-called "Hospital Rating," according to PCGamesN.

The developer, Brightrock Games, is known for its War for the Overworld title that was released in 2015 and was received well by players. It was considered to be an unofficial successor to Dungeon Keeper.

War for the Overlord was a game that most closely stayed true to the Dungeon Keeper formula. Since that particular game's release, many fans have been eagerly waiting for the developer's work on Galacticare and many are excited that the hospital management simulator is launching soon.
