‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: 5 Things Known So Far In The Series; Concrete Details Revealed

"Prison Break" season 5 is definitely happening and the fans who have followed the serial drama since the first season are already excited to find out what's going to take place in the continuation especially since things didn't end so well in the season 4 finale. Wentworth Miller's character Michael Scofield died, leaving viewers disappointed and heartbroken.

But "Prison Break" season 5 is going to turn things around including the fate of Michael. As fans already know, the series revival revealed that Michael is very much alive. Here are other spoilers that have been known so far.

Michael is alive in 'Prison Break' Season 5 but he is stuck in prison.

Just like his big brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) in season 1, fans will first see Michael behind bars. According to reports, Lincoln will receive a tip from T-Bag (Robert Knepper) that Michael is alive in a prison in Yemen. Clearly, "Prison Break" season 5 will have Lincoln saving his brother this time. But will he be able to do it successfully especially since there is so much danger surrounding Michael?

Michael may not be the same person anymore in 'Prison Break' Season 5.

"Prison Break" season 5 spoilers reveal that Michael will be different when Lincoln gets to him. He has been gone for such a long time so it's no wonder that he will cross over to the dark side. "He's been up to some not-so-nice things and there's a question as to whether or not he's even qualified to be considered a good man," Miller said

Sara is married to another man in 'Prison Break' Season 5.

So Michael is not dead after all and he may potentially return to the life of Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies). The problem though is that Sara has tied the knot already to new character Scott Neiss (Mark Feuerstein). This could only mean that things are going to look complicated for Sara in "Prison Break" season 5. She may have lost all of her feelings for Michael too.

New cast members coming in for 'Prison Break' Season 5.

"Kick-Ass 2" actor Augustus Prew and newcomer Amin El Gamal will be joining "Prison Break" season 5. Marina Benedict from "Torchwood" and Kunal Sharma have also been added.

"Prison Break" season 5 will air next year.

There is no specific date yet for the "Prison Break" reboot but it's expected to start airing sometime in spring 2017. Fans will have to stay tuned for more updates.
