"Game of Thrones" season 7 is still far away from returning to the small screen but that doesn't mean fans are also on hiatus. Several are on the constant lookout for updates and spoilers for the new season. Fortunately, their efforts are not in vain as the online sphere is packed with details on what's coming.
According to reports, "Game of Thrones" season 7 will be back in summer 2017. It's actually a little later than the usual and it's due to the changes of the season, which is now going to be winter time. Showrunners David Benioff and David Weiss divulged that they moved their schedule to get some grim grey weather for the scenes. It's also noted that the series will finish filming by February 2017.
Reports also revealed that HBO released a very brief teaser video featuring fan favorite characters, Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner). But even though it's just a very quick glimpse, fans are able to come up with own speculations of what's in store for "Game of Thrones" season 7 like Arya's new cloak likely indicating that she's heading north.
Actress Turner also teased tidbits of details about her character's storyline in the upcoming "Game of Thrones" season 7. Even though Sansa already gained back her home of Winterfell, the upcoming season isn't going to be any easier for her. In fact, she is destined to face big challenges. Turner told Entertainment Weekly that Sansa will have setbacks even after defeating Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon).
"She's seemingly in control for the first time-and it really suits her," Turner said. "She's kind of having a bit of a power trip. But she's also becoming more insecure, because there are threats to the power that she holds," she added.
