Oculus Rift’s Upcoming Titles, How Does Touch Work on Them?

Oculus Rift is one of the leading VR platforms. Its introduced asset the Touch is a pretty good piece of hardware, which successfully enhances the gaming experience. That is why a lot of developers have reworked their titles onto working with the new periphery and future titles keep it in mind. Here is a list of games which do well with the Touch.

Wareable shares the first title on the list "Dragon Front". It is a trading card game, much similar to Blizzard’s highly acclaimed “Hearthstone”. The game takes place in a war-thorn dieselpunk world, where strength and tactics are the only way to survive. Each card that the player places on the field, no matter if it is a spell, a minion or a fort, is fully rendered in front of the player in full 3D. This pushes the trading card experience far beyond anything achieved today, and the Touch brings that little piece of perspective needed to completely immerse yourself within the beautiful animation rising from your cards.

The second entry comes from EnGadget. The name is “From Other Suns” and it offers one of the most immersive space experiences on offer. The player is put in a spaceship, together with other real people and they have to do anything they can to keep the ship going. The multiplayer is a nice addition to the VR scene, but it is not the only function worth praising. The problem with nausea has been taken into account, as when moving, the player sees his avatar move through the space in third person perspective, which help limit motion sickness.

IGN brings the last offer to the table. “Mage’s Tale” is a first person dungeon crawler, in which you are a powerful wizard wielding the power of the elements. Each of your hands can disperse fire, ice, lighting and wind with both mastery and mercilessness. The Oculus add in to the immersion of the experience and Touch makes the game that more entertaining. When you are actually wielding the elements and shooting them off of your own hand, in short story, not many feelings can compare with it. When you have the free cash and a few hours to kill, make sure to check out these titles, as they are an investment worth. “Oculus Rift” + “Touch” costs $598 and can be purchased at the big game retailers.
