We brought you news earlier this month that Twitch broadcasting would be coming to mobile devices. With the release of the development kid to enable such functionality since then, one developer is ready to make their game the very first to support mobile Twitch broadcasting.
It has been announced today that the iOS racing game Asphalt 8: Airborne, will be the first game to adopt Twitch functionality on mobile devices. In an update said to be coming “soon”, players of Asphalt will be able to broadcast their playtime over Twitch making using of their front-facing camera, their mobile's microphone, and have the ability to communicate with the chat.
"Live broadcasting represents one of the most important shifts in the way people play games," said Matthew DiPietro, VP of Marketing, Twitch. "Twitch has quickly found a home on consoles, so by partnering with Gameloft to launch the first streaming-enabled mobile game brings us one step closer to being everywhere that gamers are. Also, being integrated into Asphalt 8: Airborne, one of the highest rated mobile games, should ensure it resonates with our community."

The press release also states that mobile Twitch functionality is currently optimized for the iPhone 5S, iPad Air, and iPad Mini with Retina Display. Asphalt 8: Airborne, developed by Gameloft, currently holds a 91 Metacritic score and is free on the App Store.
With Twitch's functionality spreading from PC to consoles and to mobiles, it's a bit clear what needs to be next. Where's the portable console love, guys? The 3DS and the Vita are gaming consoles with big games, plus Twitch is already on one PlayStation console. I have a Windows Phone from 2010. Pity me, please? I want to stream some stuff on there!
