“Overwatch” is one of the most popular FPS titles on the market. Its cartoony graphics, memorable characters and fast-paced action matches has managed to lure in many players, but what keeps them there is the communication between the development team and the players. Here are the latest changes introduced to “Overwatch” with the 2.05 patch.
Game Rant reports, that Blizzard’s developers have kept their eyes on the suggestion tab in the forums and have added a new and long waited feature to “Overwatch”. This is a full-team voice line being played when a character is “on fire”. For a character to achieve this state, he must perform well in the match and be a potential candidate for MVP. In previous versions of the game, the voice line was played only to the player controlling the character, while teammates had to open the score screen and see if one of the players has a burning animation on their icon. With the introduction of the newest patch, players will now be informed when one of them is doing outstandingly, much like the “godlike” voice line in traditional MOBA’s.
It was a known fact that the server browser will come in “Overwatch” with the latest patch. Kotaku has shared more detailed information on what control will be given to the game creator. Among the presented options are enabling/disabling a chosen hero’s abilities. Changing the speed with which the payload moves, changing capture speed on control points, changing abilities cooldown timers and even setting the speed of Pharah’s missiles. This opens up a whole world of possibilities, by giving players such high depth of creative control. Now it comes to players to fully utilize it and create some great gaming experiences.
Among buffs and nerfs, there comes one change, which has been long anticipated by fans. XBOX Achievements reports that “Capture The Flag” has become a permanent mode in “Overwatch”. After its introduction as a special event for “Year of the Rooster” celebrations, CTF has found its new home in the arcade section of the popular FPS.
“Overwatch” is available for purchase on PC, XBOX One and PS4.
