After months of waiting, and numerous peeks at Ultra Street Fighter IV's other "new" characters, Capcom has finally let the cat out of the bag and revealed Ultra's mysterious and brand spanking new fighter. Just like it was hinted, it's indeed a character fans of the comic are familiar with, none other than another of M. Bison's dolls, Decapre.
Named for the Russian month of December, Decapre sports a very similar appearance to Cammy, much like the other dolls. But what sets her apart visually is the glaring addition of a mask covering a heavily scarred face, and blades protruding from the dolls' trademark red gauntlets, not unlike a wannabe Vega. Arguably a bit less feminine than the Spanish cage fighter, but that's just my opinion.
As promised, Decapre has appeared in a Street Fighter game before (briefly during Juni and Juli's boss fight in Alpha 3), but not as a playable character. You can see the nimble assassin in action in the trailer below, along with the rest of the "newcomers," Hugo, Elena, Rolento, and the gender bending Poison.
Ultra Street Fighter 4 will release in two forms, with the player picking whichever they like:
1. As a $15 DLC upgrade - choose this route if you already have a copy of Street Fighter 4. With the price breakdown, it means you get each new character at $3 each.
2. As an all-new physical release, on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Besides the new characters, players will also get six new stages, all of which featured in Street Fighter X Tekken: Cosmic Elevator, Mad Gear Hideout, Jurassic Era Research Facility, Blast Furnace, and Pitstop 109.
Capcom announced that players could expect the game this Spring.
