Xbox One and PS4 gamers playing "ARK: Survival Evolved" will be glad to know that "Tek Tier" update is now live for both console platforms. The new content reportedly allows players to edit their appearance, adds new weapons, new gear and more. The developer Studio Wildcard also announced that their game has sold over one million copies for the PS4 platform.
Last year the game also sold four million copies for the PC and 1.5 million for the Xbox One. The latest update apparently delivers more stuff for gamers to mess around with like the power armor sets, reports Gamespot Donning these items reportedly give players abilities like Tek Vision, which helps identity creatures, enemies and other players in the game. Another item is the Tek Boots that allow players to absorb all fall damage. Additionally the boots helps players climb slopes or cliffs.
Night vision is also available with the new armor, which obviously allows players see in the dark. To obviously maintain balance with the gameplay in "ARK: Survival Evolved," these Tek Tier items are available during the end-game, according the Studio Wildcard. Additional items include the Tek Pants, which allows gamers to sprint quickly, while a new jetpack allows players to emulate Tony Stark' armor to fly around the areas.
Meanwhile, damage dealing items come in the form of the Tek Gauntlet that dials up the punching power to go against enemies. The other weapon included with the latest content update is called the Tek Rifle. It reportedly carries a power scope for picking off enemies from afar. The developer confirmed that players can equip the long-range rifle while riding their T-Rex. Players can also combine several of these new abilities to suit their desired play style.
Console platform players of "ARK: Survival Evolved" are apparently not just limited to the "Tek Tier" items. The new update also introduces four new creatures, which are the Ovis Aries, Basilosaurus, Baryonyx and Purlovia, as indicated by Playstation Lifestyle. Moreover, a new jousting mode was also included in the latest upgrade. The game is available for the PC, Xbox One and PS4.
