"Star Wars Battlefront" will not be getting any additional contents as confirmed by EA on its official Twitter account. Some players may not be fully happy with the announcement, but they will be excited for another sequel.
It can be remembered that the game has been released worldwide two years ago which then received positive reviews from critics. But it was later on criticized for its lack of content on both multiplayer and single player modes.
Despite the criticism, "Star Wars Battlefront" still managed to ship 13 million copies. So it's normal that the game gained a lot of supporters for its good reputation.

@Gamemaster6481 There are currently no plans to add any new content updates to Star Wars Battlefront. — EAStarWars (@EAStarWars) February 15, 2017
However, the game will no longer add more contents as confirmed by, EA, the game's developer on its official Twitter account. It started when a certain fan wonders and ask if Hero Blast may be offered later inside the game.
EA on its response says that "there are currently no plans to add any new content updates." While updates for an additional content may no longer be available, there may still be patches or updates to be released that will improve the performance of the game's existing features.
In fact, ChristianPost added, that the community manager, "Sledgehammer70", of the game's official forum, StarWars, said that the game's support is still not done. This means that though the game will not be getting any additional contents, it will still have updates to keep up the game's performance.
On another note, EA is in a process of making a new sequel for "Star Wars Battlefront". This is probably the reason why EA did not draw its attention on releasing additional contents for the current game, JustPushStart added. The new sequel is expected to be released later this year.
