Hideo Kojima Has Already Set ‘Death Stranding’ Release Date

Hideo Kojima Has Already Set ‘Death Stranding’ Release Date

After the tough break between Hideo Kojima and Konami, the legendary game developer opened his own studio “Kojima Productions”. Now, the studio is working on its first game “Death Stranding” and here are the latest news surrounding the development and character of the game.

‘Death Stranding’ is one of the most anticipated PS4 titles and is the first independent project of legendary game developer Hideo Kojima. At the RTX Sydney 2017, Kojima has announced that the work on the game is going steadily. He already has a release date on his mind, but it is more of a mental note than an official release date and that is why he did not share it with the visitors of the expo. Kojima has also shared that his team is tweaking the Horizon: Zero Dawn graphics engine so they may deliver the desired photorealism in their new title, Video Games Republic reports.

There is some bad news for VR supporter coming directly from Hideo Kojima himself. Game Rant reports that the future Kojima Productions game “Death Stranding” will not have VR compatibility. At the moment, the team is working on delivering a great gameplay experience and adapting it to VR is still not among their priorities. Kojima himself is supportive of the idea of implementing VR in his newest title, but at the moment it is not a priority to the development team. Maybe if the game becomes a hit, gamers will get PS VR support for it and in the nearing future, probably even a ported version on some other consoles or even PC.

Those of fans who are impatient about the game’s release may always dive into the game’s grim atmosphere by watching one of the few released trailers. Cryptic clues and Easter eggs are specialties of Kojima and there may still be some hidden undiscovered clues for fans to find. “Death Stranding” will be released exclusively for PS4.
