Interestingly, the developers have noted that the patch may be larger than expected. Note that the Patch 254 update will be available to PC users only on Jan. 30, 2017 while the console versions may be available on Feb. 14, 2017 reportedly due to the additional certification process game updates required prior to its release, Venture Beat reported.
Biggest Additions Include New Dinosaurs and A Timed Exclusive
In other news, "ARK: Survival Evolved" players on the Xbox One console are reportedly set to play with the split screen multiplayer mode as a timed exclusive. This feature will reportedly allow gamers to play with a friend, online or offline. It should be noted that the mode may be featured on the PC version at a later stage.
The "ARK: Survival Evolved" is also slated to welcome a new dinosaur called Dimetrodon. It is said that the new dinosaur would boast a sail on his back to shelter players from extreme weather conditions. Additionally, the new three-seater dinosaur Gallimimus is also included, Mobipicker reported.
