'Overwatch' Reaches 25 Million Gamers, Debates About Mei's New Weight Still On

The "Overwatch" developers recently capped a new event called the Year of the Rooster. The short-lived 24-hour event reportedly came with several glitches like health bar timers and Mei's unusually cinched waist. In the meantime, reports claim that "Overwatch" gamers have now reached roughly 25 million gamers noting that the heroes on the game have a long lifespan.

"Overwatch" Event Rolls Out With Thinner Mei and Health Bar Timers

"Overwatch" gamers have reportedly noted the D.Va ejecting out of her mech into a different plane of existence. Moreover, Mei also sported a smaller waist in her new Year of the Rooster skins. The new skin reportedly makes "Overwatch" Mei's spine curve inward to an unnatural degree making her waist look smaller than usual while making her posterior look much larger, Mic Network reported.

"Overwatch" fans noted that the new Mei skins may just be a glitch. Later on, a representative from Blizzard has confirmed that Mei's tiny waist, huge booty and broken spine was merely a bug in "Overwatch" and promised a fix in the next patch update. However, several reports claim that Blizzard may have been pressured by the social justice warriors from the Gamergate controversy against those who advocate better representation in gaming.

"Overwatch" Heroes Never Die, Gains 25 Million Players

In other news, Blizzard Entertainment reportedly posted on Twitter that the "Overwatch" game now sports 25 million fans. It should be noted that Blizzard revealed in October 2016 that 20 million players were already playing the "Overwatch" game. It is believed that the deluge of updates, new content and achievements paved the way for the rise of players, Polygon reported.

The "Overwatch" developers previously released the hacker hero Sombra in the BlizzCon 2016. Furthermore, a pair of Chinese New Year-Themed events was also launched as well as a new LGBT hero. In addition, "Overwatch" reportedly received several year-end accolades in 2016. Note that the game was only launched back in May of the previous year.
