Game of the Year 2016 "Overwatch" continues to stay in the spotlight courtesy of Blizzard Entertainment's consistent updates and character DLCs. The game's popularity has fans celebrate some of the games little details, such as rumored character pairings being confirmed. The company's stellar support with holiday events and character balances pushes the team-based shooter's fans to want more merchandise. Funko apparently fills the need with a second wave of Pop figures based on the game.
The toy company recently announced the new line of figures through their official Twitter account. The announcement reportedly includes a link to their official blog post, which has information about the availability of the items. The toy maker said "we know you've been dying to see who is coming in Wave 2." The post also notes that the London Toy Fair is probably where fans will be able to grab the figures.

Funko's second wave of "Overwatch" Pop toys includes another six characters from the popular shooter. The first three variants showcase the Chinese climatologist Mei, sharp-shooting cowboy McCree and Beat-dropping Lucio. The remaining three appear to be a little more special with the metal-clad knight Reinhardt standing at six inches, Symmetra includes a turret accessory, while professional gamer D.Va will most likely be the most popular due to her included six-inch Meka suit accessory.
When the game first came out on May 23, 2016, the toy company worked with the Blizzard Entertainment. They released the first wave of figures based on the game. The first batch included the assassin Widowmaker, the time-hopping Tracer, the mysterious Soldier: 76, the deadly Reaper, the peanut butter-loving Winston and Pharah. The merchandise partnership appears to be very popular as other toy makers create special collaborations with certain video game franchises, says Game Rant.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PC, Xbox One and PS4. Funko's second wave of figures will be showcased during the London Toy Fair 2017 event. The collectibles will be available for purchase soon after.
