"Resident Evil 7" is said to be among the most highly-awaited games of 2017, given a successful reinvention while going back to the survival horror origin. Now, the fans will have even more reasons to be excited as the game is confirmed to support Xbox One digitally.
"Resident Evil 7" Becomes First major third-party game for Xbox Play Anywhere
As announced by Xbox head Phil Spencer, the "Resident Evil 7" fans can now purchase the game on Xbox One and still get to play it on the PC. However, since the game would need the digital version in order to work, the PC is required to run Windows 10.
"Resident Evil 7" is believed to makes sense for the Xbox Play Anywhere program, considering that the game is now releasing on Xbox One, PS4 and the PC. Reports even suggest that PS4 has some exclusive feature with PSVR support, along with other VR support that is expected to come to the PC soon. "Resident Evil 7" is set to release on Jan. 24, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

"Resident Evil 7" Free DLC Chapter Will Arrive In Spring
Following its launch, "Resident Evil 7" is reported to come with a free DLC sometime this spring. According to reports, the DLC is a short story scenario that is different from the main game's protagonist named Ethan. The free DLC, however, will not be called "Not a Hero."
"Resident Evil 7" is also confirmed to get other DLC, including the pro-order bonus Survival Pack which unlocks some in-game items as well as additional difficulty mode from the start. Aside from this, a season pass is reportedly coming with more meaningful content, according to GameSpot.
