“Destiny” is one of the successful MMO shooters released in the last few years. Even though its release was paired with certain issues, the game still managed to prove a success and even release a series of expansion packs which add on to the fun. Now, the dark clouds are once again hovering over Bungie’s game.
According to Game Rant, since “Destiny: The Collection” has been released, older digital copy keys do not work with the distribution platforms. A PS 4 user bought a new copy of Destiny, just to find himself unpleasantly surprised by the inability to use the key in order to receive the content that he had paid for. The issue has been directed from the retailer to Sony and from them to Activision, but yet the issue has not been resolved, neither has there been made an official statement on the problem. What is left for gamers now is to either evade buying the product, which carries high chance of failure, or for all of the Destiny community to get together and boycott the game until the issue has been resolved.
Forbes reports that there are other problems on the rise with Bungie’s game. “Destiny” manages to attract a lot of users during the holidays, mostly for the legacy awards which are received during the special events, but now, the holidays have been darkened by an in-game bug which Bungie have not found a way to resolve. Xur, Agent of the Nine will not be selling Three of Coins during this weekend. Not only that, but they are unsure if the problem will go on in the coming weeks or if they will manage to resolve it.
Game Informer has been reached by Bungie officials, which have pointed them towards the official Bungie help Twitter, where it was announced that Xur will not be selling Three of Coins in the Christmas weekend. A link towards Bungie’s official forum says that Xur’s bug comes from the limited space in his inventory, which leads to him not owning the Three of Coins through certain weekends. The issue will be surveyed and addressed later on. Destiny is available on XBOX 360, XBOX One, PS 3 and PS 4.
