Well, hello there promising news! Hideo Kojima, creator of the long-running Metal Gear Solid series has just said something that I have been waiting quite a while to hear. In an interview with Gamespot, the highly esteemed developer stated that he would like to see Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on PC. My PC gaming brothers, are you excited yet?
Metal Gear Solid V, Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain, are coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, with Ground Zeroes releasing in just two weeks. No PC version has been talked about just yet, but Kojima's statement to Gamespot is reassuing and possibly a hint off future plans for Konami and Kojima Productions.
"PC, that's my original background. I originally created PC games," Kojima said. "A long time ago I didn't want to rely on platforms to release games, so if people want it, I cannot make a formal announcement, but that is definitely something that I would like to do."
People most definitely want it; I know I do. Last summer, when I opted to switch my primary gaming platform to PC, I knew that there would be a select few games that I'd have to wait to play until I got a PlayStation 4 down the line. Metal Gear Solid V was one of those games.

With Konami's more recent adoption of PC porting: with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Lords of Shadow 2 - the latter a same-day release as its console counterparts, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, perhaps the company has been testing the water for more PC support. If so, then Kojima's comments might be a good indication that the company could be on-board for a PC version of the latest Metal Gear Solid title.
Here's hoping we hear more about a PC port soon. The FOX Engine already looks incredible on the current gen consoles, so I can only imagine how spiffy it will look on a gaming desktop with stronger hardware.
