Third Variant Drops Home Button
Apple has been noted to typically launch two variants of the same model such as a basic phone and a Plus like the iPhone 7 Plus or an S model like the iPHone 6s. Leaked reports revealed that manufacturing documentation for the iPhone 8 showed a third variant codenamed Ferrari. Apparently, the third variant may pack features based on feedback from the Apple fans.
On that note, the iPhone 8 Ferrari may sport a glass panel for a curved and borderless OLED display. Furthermore, the model may trade the Home button for a hidden fingerprint sensor technology, according to report. In addition, the three variants may roll out with new color variants as well.
It is believed that the iPhone 8 may sport a Red color option. Additionally, a Jet Black, Rose Gold, Gold and Silver options may also be in the works. Under the hood, the other two iPhone 8 variants may pack an A11 chip and iOS 11 as well as a 5.8-inch screen as well.
