Fans of "Final Fantasy 14" had an amazing Christmas, as the release date of the "Stormblood" Expansion was finally unveiled over the weekend during the FFXIV Fan Festival in Tokyo. There, Square Enix shared that the "Stormblood" Expansion is arriving June 2017. That's only six months away.

The news comes via IGN, which reports that aside from the event announcement of the "Stormblood" Expansion arriving June 2017, the studio also took to Twitter to confirm the release date. "Final Fantasy 14" fans should expect the "Stormblood" Expansion to arrive on June 20, 2017.
According to Gematsu, there will also be a collector's edition of "Final Fantasy 14" that will be released alongside the highly anticipated "Stormblood" Expansion. This will feature a special package with original art by Yoshitaka Amano, an exclusive high-quality Zenos figure, the "Stormblood" art book, a cloth map of Eorzea, and an original decal.
There will also be several in-game items such as the Syldra Mount, Wind-up Bartz Minion, and Red Mage Main Arm: Chicken Knife. In addition, "Final Fantasy 14" gamers should also expect the arival of the "Red Mage" in the "Stormblood" expansion arriving June 2017.
Expect the "Red Mag" to be a DPS role who uses rapiers and crystal mediums. "Final Fantasy 14" gamers can encounter the "Red Mage" beginning level 50. It will also not have a class associated to it.
"Final Fantasy 14" gamers have a lot to look forward to in the "Stormblood" Expansion arriving June 2017. There are new swimming actions coming to the game, although not all bodies of water can be traversed via swimming.
Note that there will also be the arrival of the "Ananta" tribe in "Final Fantasy 14," which can be found in the mountais near Ala Mhigo. They're mostly a female tribe that were oppressed by the Garleans and have been around since the time of the Allagans. They're best known for their spell and gemcraft skills.
