Commander- it's time to make your last stand. Infested Planet puts you in charge of a squad of troups tasked with repelling a swarm of aliens- unrelenting, mutating enemy hordes. We're not going to lie- survival doesn't seem possible. You control a mere five grizzled war veterans against unimaginable odds, but you have the technology, the guns, and the grit to at least try and hold them back. The human race is depending on you!
Much like in "Starship Troopers" these bugs number by the thousands (hundreds of thousands!) but in this case they're even worse- growing bullet-proof armor and adapting to your attacks. Mutations mean you have to constantly change up your attacks but fortunately you can adapt as well, by equpping your team with all kinds of powerful weapons like mini-guns and grenade launchers, and abilities like stealth suits.
You have to love the style put down by the Enlistment trailer below. The game is a mix of real-time-strategy and tower defense that's filled with thousands of thousands of alien corpses. It comes with a random map generator that lets you play in a new location whenever you want, upping its replay value.
A fully playable beta of Infested Planet has been available on Steam Early Access for a little while but the full version is about to launch tomorrow, March 6th, for PC and Mac. Expect a review from us then!
