Now that we're way past the maintenance that took place yesterday until 5pm PT/8pm ET, "Street Fighter V's" latest update can be thoroughly enjoyed, weighing a whopping 7.66GB on PlayStation 4. Huge yes, but along with it are a roster of additions that will further cement the game's long-running status.
"Street Fighter V" Update Perks
The update sees the arrival of Akuma, who's also included in the 2017 Season Pass, as reported by PlayStation Lifestyle. "Street Fighter V's" Holiday DLC is also included, including Premium Battle and Nostalgia costumes, Chun-Li's B-Girl and Ryu's B-Boy costumes.
If you want to purchase all of "Street Fighter V's" holiday content, there's a bundle available at a discounted price until January 17, 2017 via PlayStation Store. It's priced $19.99.
"Street Fighter V" Updates Rage Quit System & More
The patch notes for the recent "Street Fighter V" update includes the improved Rage Quit System, which identifies users who are more likely to quit matches in mid-play, as observed by Polygon. Previously, Capcom said it was planning tougher penalties for rage quitters and now NeoGAF users have reported that badges appeared during a brief PC test. Users do earn an icon if they stay through the end of the match, which makes it a lot easier to find trustworthy players.
The recent "Street Fighter V" update also made adjustments to invincible moves that don't use meter. Since there is a notable difference between characters who had such moves and those who don't - Shoryuken, for instance - many changes have been made to moves that were invincible with no cost.
Additionally, hit situations and parameters for normal throws in "Street Fighter V" have been changed. There will be some characters able to loop throws, as those parameters have been tuned less compared to others.
