Bayern Munich vs. RB Leipzig Preview
The reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich is looking to send RB Leipzig down back to Earth. The Bavarians ahead only through goal difference but they would want to end the first half of the season with a lot of momentum.
Douglas Costa helped Bayern beat Darmstadt over the weekend with a goal in the 1-0 victory. On the other hand, promoted side Leipzig wants to send a message to the entire Bundesliga that they are here to stay.
The Red Bulls are coming off an impressive win against the in-form Hertha Berlin side last Saturday. Timo Werner added to his goal tally while defender Willi Orban also scored to give Leipzig a 2-0 win. Leipzig director Ralf Rangnick is feeling confident heading into the top of the table showdown on Wednesday.
"If we want to take points with it at Munich we have to give it our all. It's an absolute highlight for us, with Europe-wide attention. We can only win, even if we lose," Rangnick said, via ESPN.
"It's a match which electrifies all of Germany and which will thrill people cross-border," he added.
