"Final Fantasy" will be celebrating its 30th anniversary early next year. And it will kick off with an opening ceremony next month.
Square Enix has announced that it will be holding an event in celebration of the anniversary of "Final Fantasy". The series' birthday bash is said to start off with "'Final Fantasy' 30th Anniversary Opening Ceremony".
The "Final Fantasy" 30th anniversary opening ceremony will be held in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo at Toha Cinemas on January 31, 2017, as per Dual Shockers. Two events are slated to take part at the same day with the same contents. The first will be held at 6:30 PM while the other one is at 5:00 PM.
Moreover, Shinji Hashimoto is set to host the event. Hasishimoto is the brand manager of "Final Fantasy" and he is currently the acting general producer of the anniversary.
On top of that, admission will be free. However, only 200 fans can get a chance to join the opening ceremony of "Final Fantasy's birthday bash. These lucky fans will be chosen through raffle.

Lots of special guests are expected in the "Final Fantasy" 30th anniversary opening ceremony as well. However, details on that still remain under wraps.
The opening ceremony of "Final Fantasy" 30th anniversary is the same date as the 20th birthday of "Final Fantasy" 7. With that, speculations are making rounds that the gaming icon might probably celebrate both of the anniversaries even bigger.
However, the opening ceremony is only slated in Japan. Even so, the title of the "Final Fantasy" event suggests that it might probably hold more events in the coming months later in the year. Thus, keep an eye out on updates.
