‘Fruit Ninja VR’ Latest News & Update: PlayStation VR Finally Has ‘Fruit Ninja;’ Unlock 13 Trophies, Kill 50,000 Fruit & More

Following its release for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, "Fruit Ninja VR" is coming soon to PlayStation VR, as confirmed by developer Halfbrick Studios itself on its official website. If we are to base the release date on the Trophy listing up on Exophase, it's possible we could see it as soon as Today, November 20, although no confirmation has been announced yet.

The Addicting "Fruit Ninja VR" Experience

The latest offering from Halfbrick Studios, "Fruit Ninja VR" takes the exact same premise as the original mobile game, but it is expanded into virtual reality this time. Many have observed that the game seems unworthy of one's attention at first, but players will find themselves engrossed over slashing fruits of all sorts eventually.

Priced at $14.99 on Steam, "Fruit Ninja VR" has dual wielding leaderboards. It also includes the Classic Mode (avoid bombs), Arcade Mode (kill as much as you can in 60 seconds), Zen Mode (all fruit and no bombs in 90 secs) and Survival Mode, where players face off against flying cannons.

"Fruit Ninja VR" Is A Ramp Up!

Over at Exophase, 13 Trophies are up for grabs in "Fruit Ninja VR," such as Fruit Rampage, Fruit Frenzy, Fruit Annihilation, Ultimate Fruit Ninja, Moment of Zen, Basket Case, among others. How-to's on the PSVR haven't been detailed, although it should be similar as with the HTC Vive.

Playing "Fruit Ninja VR" on the Vive uses controllers, which become your ninja sword with accurate 1:1 motion tracking. UploadVR notes that the game shares similarities with "ZenBlade," which was known to VR gamers as "Ninja Trainer." According to their review, "ZenBlade" and "Fruit Ninja VR" are "extremely similar," but with some key differences.

More information on "Fruit Ninja VR" can be found on the game's official website. Purchases can be made on Steam, and you can read reviews there as well. The PSVR support hasn't been included yet on Steam, although updates should be made anytime this week.
