Call of Duty: Ghosts now has new customization content available, including four gun skins and four new characters models, alongside a trailer showing the new items off. The newly announced items are immediately available in-game as of the announcement.
The ridiculous new patterns you can cover your weapons in are Ducky, Space Cats, Inferno, and Circuit. They depict rubber duckies, cats' heads floating in space, fire, and circuitry patterns respectively as your weapon's texture. The Space Cats theme is particularly absurd when juxtaposed to the setting of, you know, killing each other--but anything in the name of fun!
Also available are four special characters that can be used in multiplayer: Keegan, Merrick, Hesh, and Elias. In addition, there is the 'Captain Price Legend Pack', which lets you play as one of Call of Duty's past favorite characters, Captain Price. He has a themed personalization pack alongside his character model.
Rounding out the new content is an 'extra slots pack' for the amount of weapons you can have loaded up for each character. It increases the number of Create-a-Soldier load out slots from 6 to 10 for each character. There are some fun options in here to make your experience a little more customizable and unique.
However, the pricing is pretty disappointing, in my opinion These items are all sold individually on the store, not bundled, and it will cost $1.99 for each skin or character. The extra loadout slot pack is also two dollars, and Captain Price is pretty pricey himself at $3.99.
I think the skins or characters should really be bundled together at the same value as they're being offered at alone, especially considering you rarely even see your own character model. Nonetheless, if you like to customize your online character, you now have several more options--and it's pretty hard to turn down the idea of a space-dwelling disembodied cat head pattern adorning your weapon.
