Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, the singer's real name, admitted he was a tad pissed with how the netizens reacted to his video that went viral moments after it was posted. He went out of his way to explain that he is well.
"I just want to let everybody know that I am alive and I'm well and I'm OK," he said, "Truthfully, I'm really upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today," he added.
CeeLo Green explained the explosion video that went viral yesterday was part of his publicity gig for his "Gnarly Davidson" project and that he was not harmed. The explosion was supposedly designed to introduce a new character.
On his Facebook account, the 42-year-old rapper and actor posted that the viral explosion clipping was taken from a video they made. He justified his stunt that he had a "very difficult day dealing with everything." It appeared from his explanation that CeeLo Green did not intend to scare his fans, believing he was harmed in the explosion.
"Forgive me, y'all," the Goodie Mob member said on another video posted subsequent the explosion. "I'm still going to release the music, though," he continued, "I just want to let you know that I'm OK, Ok?" He also expressed his gratitude for the fans' love, support and concern.
News about CeeLo Green, whose fame was bolstered by his YouTube account, following his stint with Goodie Mob and Gnarks Barkley, circulated on the social media after the artist posted a video footage of an explosion. The Rhythm and Blues artist was seen on security camera footage, talking to someone on his Samsung phone when the device emitted smoke and exploded.
Before the footage went black, CeeLo was shown to have collapsed on the ground. As the clipping was shared a number of times, netizens expressed concern about the rapper's wellness.
