Fresh off the success of Plants Vs. Zombies 2's Feastivus celebration, PopCap has today announced that the game will see the return of its most dastardly villain. Dr. Edgar George Zomboss, Zomboss for short, was the final boss of the first game, a smart zombie who controlled a giant Zombot and sent out waves of smaller zombies to attack the players. He was a huge challenge and now gamers will have to face him yet again, across the three most popular worlds of the second game.
According to Dr. Zomboss' Alamanc Entry he achieved his Doctorate in Thanatology (the scientific study of death) in only two years. Quickly mastering thanatological technology, he built his fearsome Zombot and "set about establishing absolute dominance within his local subdivision". So, a determined and committed doctor, but not a nice guy. His Zombot is a giant robotic beast and can easily stomp and plants in his path. Fortunatly you now have another power-up that you can utilize- the snowball, which will freeze all enemies on the screen.
The word from PopCap on this special event-
"Zomboss is back! Hail Zomboss! In this newest update for Plants vs. Zombies 2 a fan-favorite has returned, and it's up to players to assemble their botanical arsenal and "mow" him down in an epic boss battle. Zomboss battles will be rolled out weekly sequentially in all three of Plants vs. Zombies 2's most popular worlds: Egypt, Pirate, and Wild West. In addition, the Zomboss update arms players with a timely new power-up: the Snowball will freeze all enemies on the screen, giving plants an icy edge in the never-ending war against zombies."
