The Nintendo Switch is set to launch in March 2017, and Nintendo is already actively promoting the new console. According to the company, they will introduce the Nintendo Switch via a preview tour, beginning in January next year.
Nintendo Switch Early Preview in Six Cities
Engadget wrote that the Nintendo Switch is set to begin its global tour in New York from Jan. 13 to 15, 2016. Next, it will be showcased in Toronto and Pax South in San Antonio from January 27 to 29. The Nintendo Switch will be presented in Washington from February 10 to 12, Chicago from February 17 to 19, and San Francisco from February 24 to 26. The Nintendo Switch preview tour will end in the first quarter of 2017. The hybrid console will be introduced in Los Angeles from March 3 to 5, and SXSW and Pax East from March 16 to 18.
Each Nintendo Switch preview tour presentation will last three days. The first two days in every major city, however, will only be for invited guests, while the third day will be available for testing for every interested user. The Nintendo Switch showcase at PAX and SXSW will allow full access to the general public.
Nintendo Switch Tokyo Event in January
Before their preview tour, Nintendo promised that they will feature more details about the upcoming device on January 12. The company will reportedly host a livestream from Tokyo, Japan, where they will talk about the product's price, launch titles and official release date.
The Verge noted that the Nintendo Switch global tour will only cover six cities, with five in the United States and the last in Canada. Nintendo advised interested gamers to come early to see and try the Nintendo Switch, since space will be limited and guests will be accommodated based a first-come, first-serve basis. Nintendo stated that the Sunday stop of each tour will be open free to the public, to give everyone a chance to experience the Nintendo Switch. Select launch games will reportedly be playable at the preview tour.
