When year 2017 begins, "Sherlock" Season 4 will be premiering in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Fans of the hit BBC drama series are starting to get excited with teasers now available for the public.

A recently released trailer for "Sherlock" Season 4 revealed what will come next for Sherlock, played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Watson, played by Martin Freeman. It posed a very intriguing and relevant question for the fans "What is the worst thing that you can do to your very best friends?"
The two main characters are up for some challenge with the new addition of new villain named Culverton Smith who will be played by Toby Jones. The character is said to have a dark agenda against Sherlock.
Air date and episode details
"Sherlock" Season 4 Episode 1, which is entitled "The Six Thatchers" will air on January 1. Sherlock Homes will be back in Britain while Doctor Watson welcomes his first baby with Mary.
It was a long three-year wait for viewers of "Sherlock" to finally see Season 4. Steven Moffat, a co-creator of the show has revealed that the next installment is considered the "darkest" season of "Sherlock." Season 4 is believed to give the viewers a lot of action and mysteries that will make them want one more season.
What will happen to Watson and Sherlock?
Two months ago, the first trailer of Season 4 showed that there will be a lot more threats waiting for Watson and Holmes. Aside from the new villain, new challenges will also await the Sherlock-Watson tandem.
Sherlock will also try convince the others that he has a rare disease which is deadly. This is in hopes of having Culverton Smith admit that he was the one behind the murder of the former's nephew.
