"The Flash" has reportedly cast "Sleepy Hollow" star Jessica Camacho as Gypsy. Her addition came after Carlos Valdes confirmed, that the character will appear in the series.
According to The Wrap, Jessica Camacho will play the Justice League hero in "The Flash" Season 3. She will appear in one of the upcoming midseason episodes. Other details about her appearance remain scarce.
Camacho's casting in "The Flash" Season 3 comes after Carlos Valdes revealed Gypsy's appearance in the instalment. Valdes, who plays Cisco Ramon aka Vibe, confirmed the character's addition to the series during a CW Fan Fest video that aired after the midseason finale.
Valdes teased some details about Gypsy's role in "The Flash" Season 3. He said the Justice League Detroit heroine will help Cisco tap deeper into his Vibe skills. Gypsy will reportedly help Vibe use his powers more aggressively. She will help him master his metahuman capabilities and probably teach him a few fight moves.
In the DC comic book lore, Gypsy is also a metahuman. She possesses similar capabilities as Cisco Ramon. She too has precognitive skills, which means she can see into the future. The difference between the two is invisibility. Gypsy can make herself invisible, while fans have yet to see if Vibe even possesses that skill.
Meanwhile, The CW has yet to reveal which episode in "The Flash" Season 3 Gypsy will appear. However, a few days back some leaked photos from the set of the series in Vancouver featured a new face. A woman with long black hair and who wore all black was with Barry Allen, Cisco and Jesse Quick. Speculations are rife that the woman plays Gypsy. The actress in the photo somehow also resembles Jessica Camacho.
