NBA Trade Rumors: Paul George To The Los Angeles Lakers In Blockbuster Deal

NBA Trade Rumors: Paul George To The Los Angeles Lakers In Blockbuster Deal

Since the start of the 2016-2017 NBA season, the Indiana Pacers Paul George has been in involved in a lot of trade speculations and rumors around the NBA.  The early struggles of the Indiana Pacers to start the season coupled with speculation that Paul George is will opt out of his contract and is not interested to sign an extension with the Indiana Pacers didn't help squash down the Paul George rumors at all.

Just last week, there were talks of a possible trade of Paul George to the Detroit Pistons.  The Detroit Pistons have since denied the trade rumor.  Now, just when everybody thought that the Paul George trade rumors are already dead and that Paul George and the Indiana Pacers can move on and just play basketball, another trade rumor has just sprouted.  This latest rumor involves one of the more glamorous team in the NBA - the Los Angeles Lakers.

According to recent reports, the Indiana Pacers will ship Paul George to the Los Angeles Lakers.  This is not the first time that the Los Angeles Lakers were mentioned in trade rumors involving Paul George.

Just last September, there were reports that the Los Angeles Lakers were interested in Paul George.  With resident superstar and NBA legend Kobe Bryant already retired, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking for a another superstar who could fill in the shoes left by Kobe Bryant.  During that time, the Los Angeles Lakers were willing to give up D'Angelo Russell or Brandon Ingram plus their draft picks for Paul George.  It was a good deal for both teams but in the end, most of the talk regarding the trade were just that - all talk.

This latest rumored trade, however, is a little bit different from the previous one but definitely much better for the Indiana Pacers.  If the rumored trade pushes through, the Indiana Pacers will send Paul George to the Los Aneles Lakers.  In return, the Los Angeles Lakers will give up both D'Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram.

If the first proposed deal didn't push through, many observers say that this one might be the one that pushes the Indiana Pacers to agree to the deal.  The thought of getting 2 potential superstars in exchange for 1 superstar is really hard to resist. Plus, the Los Angeles Lakers might sweeten the deal by offering one of their lottery picks.
