True blue manga and webcomic readers of "One Punch Man" know that the forthcoming second installment of the anime adaptation will be faithful to what the original source has already spouted. And as "One Punch Man" Season 2 is now in the works, few significant theories have already been making the rounds on the Internet. One ginormous speculation is that the upcoming offering will be concentrating on Saitama's hero training.
This very rumor is contradictory to what has been speculated previously that "One Punch Man" Season 2 will be focusing about Garou and the MA. A Reddit forum has expounded that the hero training of Saitama might very well be the main storyline of the upcoming season. Further, it speculated that the entire season might go with the direction of world building along with covering some few plotholes the previous season didn't manage to resolve. On the other hand, Saitama has also been projected to meeting a few future S- class heroes.
Meanwhile, the said theory for "One Punch Man" Season 2 has also met some not-so-agreeable reactions courtesy of some Reddit users. According to some commenters, the abovementioned speculation will draw some ire from its fans and will make half of the viewers infuriated. Moreover, it has been said that such direction would prove to be unprofitable and inconvenient for the company.
On the other hand, another commenter has shared that seeing Saitama works his way to where he is at the moment along with his Herculean prowess would somehow deafeat the purpose of "One Punch Man" Season 2. As such, it has been pointed out too that the reason why anime adaptations exist is to mainly sell the original source, which in this case is from manga, no less.
Now while all of the theories above are just a product of conscious speculations, it would be interesting to know how the people behind the critically-acclaimed adaptation would handle it when it finally airs. Ultimately, fans should be wise to take all of these with a pinch of salt. "One Punch Man" Season 2 is officially confirmed at the "One Punch Man Fall Festival" event in Japan last September.
