The long is wait finally over for all the "Attack on Titan" fans. After patiently watching out for the release date of the anime, reports reveal that the post-apocalyptic fiction will return for season 2 next year.
As detailed in a report, "Attack on Titan" season 2 will premiere in April 2017. There is no specific date yet but fans are satisfied enough to at least know that it's coming a few months from now. It has been a long wait after all since Funimation Entertainment confirmed last 2014 that they will bring the second installment.
The almost 4 years hiatus of the anime version of "Attack on Titan" almost made fans believe that season 2 will not push through especially since there were several delays and push-backs. But now that everything is confirmed, fans are thrilled already to catch new episodes of the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. As followers of the anime may recall, "Attack on Titan" season 1 ended with a cliffhanger, which involves the introduction of the Beast Titan.
Spoilers suggest that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will pick up where season 1 left off. It's also said that it will dig deeper into Eren's backstory and his father's work. Moreover, other spoilers reveal that the story of the Beast will be covered as well as the mystery revolving around the wall. Season 2 is also expected to reveal more about the impending doom of the humanity and the downfall of the king. New characters are also expected to appear.
Noted to be introduced in "Attack on Titan" include Uri Reiss, Rod Reiss, Frieda Reiss and Captain Kenny Ackerman. Meanwhile, reports detail that Kodansha Comics launched the "Attack on Titan" manga and newsfeed app. Features of the app mentioned include a full catalog of the chapters and volumes of the manga, latest manga chapters, free Motion Books exclusive to the app and others.
