In the season finale of “Shameless” Season 7, the Gallaghers grapple with the death of Monica (Chloe Webb). As expected, Fiona (Emmy Rossum) will stand up for the family during the family’s loss while Frank (William H. Macy) will come up with a plan that could change their lives forever.
Frank’s life-changing plan for the Gallaghers
According to the official synopsis of the upcoming “Shameless” Season 7 episode titled “Requiem for a Slut”, Frank will be able to bring on board with his plan Debbie (Emma Kenney), Liam (Brendan Sims) and Carl (Ethan Cutkosky). Meanwhile, Lip (Jeremy Allen White) continues with his journey in taking his life back on track. Kev (Steve Howey) and V (Shanola Hampton) will try to get even with Svetlana (Isidora Goreshter).
Based on the “Shameless” Season 4 finale promo, the episode should start with the family being told of Monica’s death by the doctor. Then, while they sort through Monica’s belongings, the siblings are able to find what appears to be a key to a storage unit. Frank and his younger kids will next be seen going in to a storage unit where they discover that Monica left something valuable to them which can change their miserable lives forever.
Fiona against Frank
In the storage unit filled with Monica’s stuff, Frank is shocked to find a briefcase with bags of meth as seen in the “Shameless” Season 7 episode promo trailer. He takes the briefcase and decides to sell the meth but Fiona wants to flush everything down the toilet. This will lead into a violent fight between father and daughter. In the last scene from the video, Frank can be seen being pinned down by his other children with Fiona slapping him in the face.
Renewal or Cancellation
The coming “Shameless” Season 7 will be the season finale and yet, there is still no word from Showtime if an eighth season will happen. Reports say that Rossum's wanting to have a salary at par with Macy’s is what is holding up the renewal of the long running series. Sources say that if Rossum and Showtime could not close a deal soon, the latter could either cancel the series altogether or renew it without the actress. The last episode for the season airs on December 18, Sunday.
