Leicester City failed to capitalize on their momentum against Bournemouth on Wednesday when they lost the game 1-0. Marc Pugh's volley in the 34th minute sank The Foxes even deeper in their title defense.
The loss put the defending champs in 14th place on the table with just 16 points. They are also not safe in the relegation zone since Swansea is just four points behind them. Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri felt that his team deserved much better against Bournemouth.
"The result is too severe against us because we created more chances than Bournemouth but they won so well done to them," Ranieri told Sky Sports.
On the other hand, Stoke City managed to hold Southampton to a goalless draw on Wednesday. The Potters were down to ten men just after 23 minutes when Marko Arnautovic was sent off with a red card.
Nevertheless, Stoke City would love to face a struggling Leicester City on Saturday as they try to add to their current point total of 20. The Potters are going to be without Arnautovic, who gets an automatic suspension for being sent off against Southampton.
