What's surprising is that at that time CD Projekt Red was still working on their game The Witcher 3 which suggest s that Cyberpunk 2077 is already in the early development stages. But now that development for The Witcher 3 along with its expansions are done, CD Projeckt Red can now focus solely on the development for Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, since the trailer reveal, little is known about Cyberpunk 2077. But now according to a listing with a listing on the release date, we might know when Cyberpunk 2077 will hit the shelves.
According to gamingbolt, a Swedish store has listed the Cyberpunk 2077's release date. A Swedish store named Klomplett has listed Cyberpunk 2077's release date at September 30, 2017 which is 2 years after the release of The Witcher 3. It has also listed that a beta for the game will start at February 2, 2017. Although CD Projeckt Red has said that the game is still far from being completed, knowing that CD Projeckt Red has a larger team for the Cyberpunk 2077 than Witcher 3, then we could expect a faster development.
If the rumor proves to be true and Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on 2017, then 2017 is poised to be a banner year for RPG fans. Other RPG's slated for a 2017 include, Atlus' Persona 5, Bioware's Mass Effect: Andromeda and Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
With the rise of competitive online shooters, RPG's have slowly fallen off the radar for modern gamers. But hardcore gamers still have a special place for a quality RPG game. Maybe 2017 will revive the RPG craze and a game like Cyberpunk 2077 should certainly help the cause.
