With Christmas fast approaching, many people have already started their holiday preparations such as buying gifts, planning a Christmas menu and other activities. For Prince William and Kate, the couple is expected to join the rest of the royal family in a holiday celebration that will span two days.
Prince William and Kate follow a Christmas tradition that involves informal gatherings, black-tie events and other family activities. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as their two children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are set to celebrate Christmas with other members of the royal family at Sandringham Estate, according to Vogue.
A day prior the festive holiday, members of the royal family will gather together at the said 20,000-acre estate for an informal celebration that involves afternoon tea and gift-giving. Come Christmas eve, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will dress up for a formal dinner event with other members of the royal family.
Royal watchers can also look forward to seeing Prince William and Prince Harry's sporty sides on Dec. 24. The two brothers typically join a soccer game together to unwind.
On Christmas Day, the royal family will attend a private mass at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene. They will also join the public church service scheduled at 11:00 a.m. However, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and the royal family's younger generation will not attend the said service.
A Christmas lunch, to be held at Sandringham's Red Drawing Room, then awaits members of the royal family that includes a traditional turkey feast. After lunch and watching the Queen's annual televised Christmas message typically aired at 3:00 pm, members of the royal family engage in activities such as puzzles or movie sessions.
In other news, Prince William and Kate, as well as Prince Harry, are expected to attend the upcoming Heads Together Christmas event, according to Hello. Hosted by The Mix, a charitable youth support service, the celebration will also serve as the organization's annual general meeting. The royal couple and Prince Harry will also participate in various knowledge sharing sessions with the charity's volunteers and counselors prior the celebration.
