'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered' December update has introduced microtransactions. This had added paid options that were not included when it was first released. Now players can purchase supply drop with real money.
Supply drops are microtransactions that give access to new cosmetics. These cosmetic items are weapon camos, new character skins and different reticles. However, the items in supply drop can also be earned through in-game challenges. Players can have access to them by using depot credits and call of duty points too. According to Trusted Review, these supply drops will remain an unexpected addition and will not have any effect on the gameplay.
Activision has also added Parts to 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered'. The player can craft all items found in supply drop with the help of Parts. This will save the player from grinding for a random skin.
Moreover, In "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" the player can purchase several melee weapons which include shovel and hammer, noted Gamespot. The information that there will be a bunch of melee weapons and microtransaction, has been leaked earlier. Reddit users Semyel and Tails leaked the information previously. They also stated about female fighters and six more maps.
"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" has now 16 maps found in the original release. Along with the 6 new maps, there are 2 new game modes. These new maps include Pipeline, Bloc, Countdown, Showdown, Strike and Wet Work, stated Express. The new game modes are Gun Game and Hardpoint. These two modes debuted in Black Ops and Black Ops 2.
"On 13t December, six additional MP maps are coming to all Modern Warfare Remastered players free of charge, plus the Christmas-themed Winter Crash map and two new game modes: Gun Game and Hardpoint," the Activision statement read. It seems that "Call of Duty" which is one of the most critically-acclaimed game, has now got better with these additions.
