Weaver also offered a clue about the villain's thoughts about the Marvel heroes. "To me they're not superheroes; they're people with a gift," she said of "The Defenders."

"The Defenders" air date has not yet been announced by Netflix. However, the series is expected to premiere by next summer. "Jessica Jones" Season 2 will be released in 2018.
