Here’s some not so pleasing news for all you Minecraft fans out there just waiting to play the game on your next generation consoles and Sony’s handheld PS Vita. According to reports, the game’s versions for Xbox One, PS4 and PlayStation Vita have been delayed to 2014.
As reported, its seems like 4J Studios, responsible for masterminding the games’ console ports, has announced that not only will the game’s next generation ports will be delayed until March 2014, but the already released version of the game for the Xbox 360 and PS3 will also not be getting any sort of in-game updates in the meantime.
“Thanks for another great year everyone! 4J Studios is now off for a Christmas break. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas," the Minecraft console developer wrote on Twitter.
"We'll be back in 2014 to continue work on #MinecraftXBLA, #MinecraftPS3, #MinecraftXbox1, #MinecraftPS4 and #MinecraftPSVita."
While this already is somewhat a bad news for all the Minecraft fans, it seems like the fans playing the game on the PlayStation 3 are in for some more bad news.
Since the company has announced that it will not be handling any sort of projects related to the game heading over to the next generation consoles and other updates related to the ones that released on the 360 and PS3, it’s only normal that the company will also put a hold to the related upcoming updates for the game with the patch 1.02 being the last one released for the year.
As you may already know, while the last update for the PS3 edition of the game, according to company, was meant to address issues with the in-game chat system, audio and other related issues, there are still a number of issues that are yet to addressed by the company.
As revealed by players via the official forum for the same, there are issues related to “Opening doors empty-handed causes the door sound files to be played twice, while opening doors with an item doesn't,” “Save corruption happening randomly,” “Torches wont place on any adjacent side of hoed dirt blocks with seeds in them” and more.
