Billy Gilman was a child star who wowed the world with his version of "What's Forever For". After being gone for 10 years he is back trying to find his way in the music industry as a humble contestant in the American TV series "The Voice."
Gilman Sings Sinatra
With "The Voice" wrapping up its 11th season and with Christmas just around the corner it feels just about right to see and probably give a second chance to a former star. He did the legendary Frank Sinatra's trademark song justice on what would have been the crooner's 101st birthday on the show's first part of its finale.
Tonight we shall see the beginning of the end. "The Voice: Live Finale Part 1" would have us see Sundance Head from Team Blake, We McDonald from Team Alicia, Billy Gilman from Team Adam and Josh Gallagher also from Team Adam battle for the title "The Voice."
Where was Billy
Gilman had it going. When he was 11 he soared to the top of the charts with the song "One Voice." It was on the Top 40 of Billboard Hot 100 and a Top 20 Hit on the Billboard Country Songs Chart in 2000.
With the kind of music playing during those times from the New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys he was a very much welcome and anticipated voice in the music world.
His last project was in 2006. After that his career went dormant. Around 2014 he admitted that he was gay. Now after a decade, which is a century in showbiz, he is back. He is definitely an inspiration for anyone who is a little bit short on luck.
