“Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location” showed of new canon cut scenes which were part of the Custom Night DLC, something that will likely be used as hints to the next installment of "FNaF". This is assuming that Scott Cawthon does have one in mind.
Seeing the success of “Five Nights at Freddy’s” in the gaming sector, it may be hard to not expect a follow-up to “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location”. And with no credible reference for now, the best gamers can do is pick up from the final series of events from the current game.
Key “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location” characters like Michael and Ennard could lead the cast of returning characters though with a bit of a twist. Recall that Ennard did scoop Michael’s skin to escape the facility. Much of this was covered in a previous post.
Regardless, Michael was able to survive but returned in the form of an animatronic on “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location”. Now “Animatronic Michael” is looking for his father, William Afton. From that sequence alone, one can already pluck out a potential storyline for a potential next installment, per reports.
In this scenario, Michael (the animatronic) may seek the aid of William Afton which could be one of two reasons. One is how to survive in his current state and the other is to find out a way to reverse what Ennard did on “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location”.
All that depends on what Scott Cawthon comes up with, assuming he is planning to create another “Five Nights at Freddy’s” installment. The possibilities are endless, including a reversal of roles which may see the game taking on the angle of an animatronic.
With a credible storyline for a potential “Five Nights at Freddy’s” sequel, most will now have to wait if Cawthon has something like that in mind. If ever one does happen, expect it take some time to materialize.
