For a limited time only, the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" game will be free to all PS4 and Xbox One players this weekend. According to Activision, they are giving away a 5-day Christmas treat to fans; and opportunity to play some parts of the Infinite Warfare over the weekend. We dare to think otherwise.
Compared to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's sales in 2015, The "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" recorded a lower sales; despite a solid reception from fans. The weekend free trial could be Activision's promotional leg for the game; hoping to garner more players to buy the game.
Unfortunately, players will not be able to play the whole "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" game. According to Attack of the Fanboy, few and chosen game modes will be available during the weekend. Starting on Thursday, December 15 at 10:00 am PT, the free trial of the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will commence. The game will simultaneously go live on both the PS4 console and the Xbox One console wherein, players will be able to access the game on their respective digital stores.
The free trial in detail include the campaign, zombies, multiplayer and the three game modes. Take note again that they will not deliver you full access to the game. Instead, you can only play the first two levels on the campaign mode, the multiplayer playable only at level 15 maximum and the zombies only as far as level 3.
For those who are wondering whether parts of the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" remastered will be available during the weekend, the answer is NO. Only the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will be available during the trial period.
