If you have been enjoying DmC Devil May Cry for a while now (although we don’t really know what’s to enjoy there – major disappointment, to say the least), here’s some good news for you, as far as mobile gaming is concerned. Ninja Theory, the developer of titles like Heavenly Sword, Enslaved and DmC Devil May Cry, has released its first mobile game called Fightback.
Available currently as a free download, Fightback is basically a 80s action movie-inspired fighting title for mobile that offers gesture-based touchscreen controls. So get ready to fight yourself through the mob via pistols, pump-action shotguns and bazookas (apart from your good old fists and feet).
“When there is no justice, there can only be vengeance,” the official description for the same stated. “Thugs have kidnapped your sister but they’ve picked on the wrong guy.”
“It’s time to Fightback! From the award-winning developer Ninja Theory comes a new standard in mobile fighters. Stunning visuals, unique controls, and a vibrant design come together to bring you the pinnacle of mobile fighting games.”
Apparently, the game features a certain endless Mode that will be helpful if you are trying to fill up your in-game bank account with players taking on waves of thugs for as long as they can last.
“When flying fists and feet won’t do, bring out the big guns! Unload dual pistols, pump-action shotguns, explosive bazookas and more. Unlock body armor and tattoos to boost your stats,” the page adds.
“Scale each skyscraper one floor at a time. Immerse yourself in Fightback’s 80’s action movie style by knocking out baseball bat-wielding punks and psychotic quarterbacks in a variety of unique backdrops.”
There are over 100 levels of floor-to-floor fist fighting that will be offered via Ninja Theory in a new mobile experience. Players, apart from opting for a host of guns in the game, can also personalize their characters with vests, tattoos, guns, and more.
The game, optimized for iPhone 5, is approximately 270MB is size and is offered in a host of languages including French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish, apart from English, and will require at least iOS 5.0 or later to successfully install and run.
Fightback is currently up for grabs via Apple’s iTunes store. Check out the trailer for the same below.
