The popularity of the "The Fast & The Furious" franchise has only gotten larger after every movie. The ensemble cast led by Vin Diesel and Paul Walker has drawn millions of fans and has made car enthusiasts drool in envy for years. The crew of misfit car enthusiasts and expert drivers get themselves in different adventures involving a lot of fast driving and expensive car crashes.
The last episode in this franchise "Furious 7" we last saw Diesel's character Dominic Toretto and the late Paul Walker's character Brian O'Conner drive into a desert highway as the voice over says "You will always be my brother." The man driving opposite was Paul Walker's brother standing in for him (with the assistance of a lot of CGI). Walker was not able to finish shooting the movie due to his untimely death in LA in November 2013. "Fate of The Furious" Is the next chapter in this blockbuster franchise.
Our next look at what happens is seen in all its glory on Sunday's release of the trailer for "Fate of The Furious." Since then, the trailer has amassed as much as 139 million views within 24 hours of its release, breaking the record once held, only a few weeks prior, by the new "Beauty and The Beast" trailer.
This was springboarded by a large trailer release that happened in New York where the trailer took over 33 billboards in Manhattan. In the "Fate of The Furious" trailer, Vin Diesel's Toretto seems to have gone Rogue and turned his back on his "family" and has taken sides with new antagonist played by Charlize Theron. Along with that, of course, are the ear splitting sounds of revving engines in ultra-fast car chases and, of course, more expensive car crashes.
Along with VIn Diesel, "Fate of The Furious" also stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Helen Mirren. Release is scheduled on April 14, 2017.
