Hatchimal toy is another item that can be considered as the craze right now. This toy's popularity is the same as Nintendo NES Classic and its availability is similar to the said Nintendo console as well.
This means that the Hatchimal is also always out of stock so buyers line up early to make sure they can get their hands on this magical creature that hatch and lives inside an egg. Since stocks are always low, buyers do not mind waiting for hours just to get the toy.
In Target store, people waited to as much as nine hours hoping to be the first to enter the store and buy a Hatchimal. However, not everyone who lines up early or spends a lot of time waiting have their luck in getting the toy, many have walked away from the store empty-handed.
What's more Target shoppers were furious because the store had set a limit of up to two pieces of Hatchimals for each customer. Some others complained that there are buyers who buy just to resell the toy later, while many who cannot get their hands on the toy want it for their kids so it is sort of unfair.
However, Target stores cannot do anything about this issue since they cannot ask each customer as to why they want to buy the Hatchimal toy. In any case, some of those who went to Target at such an early hour last Sunday were angry for another reason.
While Target stores made an announcement that it is having restocks of Hatchimal on Dec. 11, it appeared that there were really new stocks available. The problem is the number of toys that are available for sale.
One mother said that she was in line hours prior to the store's opening schedule, but she was aghast to learn that there were only less than twelve Hatchimals available. In the end, she was not able to get the toy for her daughter despite her efforts.
Meanwhile, because of Hatchimal's enormous popularity and the high demand for the toy, many have taken advantage of the situation by buying in bulk and reselling the toys at much higher price. The Sun reported that even a famous English author names Sara Gruen was caught buying reselling the toys for £157 even if the original price is only £60.
