Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain is now leading the pack to take James Rodriguez away from Real Madrid, according to Le10 Sport.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the chairman of PSG, hasn't given up yet on the Real Madrid striker. But this time, PSG wants to have James Rodriguez on loan and not just a transfer. Rodriguez has been advised by the likes of Maturana and Lionel Messi to leave Real Madrid already, after falling down the pecking order under coach Zinedine Zidane. Spanish football expert Guillem Balague adds that "James Rodriguez is not happy with his situation, and Zidane is not a fan of the Colombian's from a professional perspective. If an offer is made for him, I think he'll be on his way."
But when Pilar Rubio Gómez, James Rodriguez's mother, was asked about her son's future by Noticias Uno, she replied that "He is not going to give up. What I know is that he is playing for the club of his dreams, which is what he always wanted, and James is not going to give up."
Pilar's statement comes days after James Rodriguez gets his second consecutive start in Real Madrid--first at the match against Borussia Dortmund in Champions League then the game against Deportivo La Coruña in La Liga. During the pre-match press conference with Deportivo, Zidane has also made it clear that Rodriguez will not be going anywhere in January.
His mother adds that the decision on whether James Rodriguez will stay or go in the club depends on him and the French boss. "If the manager says this then it will be. These things I leave to him," she adds.
