The husband of Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom, allegedly admitted himself voluntarily in a rehab center. Is it true that the former Los Angeles player is in a rehab at the moment?
A report from E! Online claimed that the former Los Angeles Lakers player, Lamar Odom checked himself in a rehabilitation center voluntarily. The report claimed that Khloe Kardashian's husband wants to seek help with his physical and mental health. The athlete has apparently realized that he needs to maintain his sobriety after experiencing a near-fatal overdose last year.
"It was his own decision. He wanted to work on his mental and physical health for the next chapter of his life," a source shared with E! News insider stated. "He has not fallen off the wagon, but he understands the importance of maintaining his sobriety."
On October 2015, Kardashian's supposed to be ex-husband had been seen unconscious at a brothel located in Crystal, Nevada. An ambulance took the basketball player to the nearest hospital. Odom was believed to be overdosed due to drugs seen in his body.
After the incident, Odom was moved to a private rehab center close to Calabasas. The athlete reportedly experienced some setback during the time of recovery, which raised rumors that he is now homeless, however, sources stated that he is not homeless at all.
"Lamar's not homeless. He has a nice place in California," an observer also stated. "He is doing well. He is determined to stay on the straight and narrow [path] and wants to be the best father he can possibly be and he is doing the work required to achieve that."
As of now, Lamar Odom's representative could not be reached to be asked for comments about the rehab news. The professional basketball player was last spotted strolling and shopping in Beverly Hills back in December 6. Thus, readers are advised to take this with a grain of salt.
