Third-party developers is bringing an innovation to Google Assistant. Google's intelligent personal assistant can now be accessed by other developers to better carry out their functions for their users.
Features and what it can do?
With the help of the smart home speaker called Google Home and the application dubbed "Conversation Actions," developers could easily interact with their customers about the features of their products and also answer queries. This collaboration is expected to boost the sales of developers.
Google Assistant will also reportedly study a person's behavior to tell what that individual needs. The new technology is also aimed to control home appliances so customers can easily make commands around the house. The commands and information that you store using this tecnology will also be kept confidential.
More services
Google Actions product management director Jason Douglas explained that their introduction hopes to connect users while utilizing the services and applications they commonly use in their everyday existence. "This makes enabling an ecosystem where developers can bring diverse and unique services to users through the Google Assistant really important," Douglas added.
Along with this introduction, Google has also enabled its smart Assistant to control Nest thermostats using Google Pixel. Previously, users claimed that the feature was not properly interpreted by Assistant on one's Pixel phone. The commands that users will tell the device is properly understood and delivered by Google Assistant.
Is there a glitch?
Though users have observed that Google Assistant has not yet recognized Pixel as a connected device, they noted that both devices work when commands are given. Some think that this is just a glitch when the Nest was set up with Google Home.
The future is looking bright for Google as it hopes to merge functionality with developers who are looking to expand their market through smart assistants. This may as well be the company's breakthrough using Smart Assistants for its products and other services.
