Best Buy Surprises Customer With A Gift

It seems the holiday cheer and spirit of giving continues to surprise people. Employees at a New York City Best Buy decided to purchase a Nintendo Wii U for a regular customer at the store. The teen was reportedly visits the store to play on one of the demo systems available.

According to CNN, Rahiem Storr, one of the store's managers, confirmed that Best Buy employees Kenneth Fernandez and Pal Ndoja volunteered to purchase a Nintendo Wii U for the teen. They reportedly wanted the customer to enjoy the games at home. They even got the "Super Smash Bros" game that he always played in the store. The game system retails for $300 according to the company's website. The employees also offered to give the kid a ride home.

The manager posted the captured video on YouTube last week. The video has so far garnered more than a million views. The footage shows the employees preparing to hand over their gift as the teen was still playing on the store's demo unit. The customer seems to notice the camera as the employees approached him to hand over their present. "On behalf of all of us here at Best Buy, we got you a Wii U." one of the employees said on the video. He then continues to tell the kid that they all chipped in for the surprise gift.

Their gesture initially left the teen speechless, but he eventually smiled and appeared to tear up with the sudden realization. One of the employees told him "No for real, this is for you." He asked the customer to treat it as an advanced Christmas present. The teen's parents were apparently "very welcoming" and continued to bring him back to the store. The store manager claims that the kid "just likes coming to Best Buy."
