Braun Strowman is currently booked as an unstoppable monster on Monday Night Raw. However, he might be facing someone who might be more unstoppable than him, Roman Reigns. The latest rumors imply that two superstars are set to face each other at WrestleMania 33.
According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, the WWE is planning a match between Reigns and Strowman for WrestleMania 33. He noted that The Big Dog is not expected to win the WWE Universal championship at Roadblock: End of the Line.
On the other hand, Strowman will surely win against Sami Zayn at the same event. He then proceeds to a short feud against The Big Show early in the year. The two giants could face off at the Royal Rumble before Strowman meets Reigns on the road to WrestleMania 33.
The feud with The Big Show is reportedly set to be a series of challenges like body slam challenge, arm wrestling contest and more, per Forbes. Strowman has to be booked strongly as he faces arguably the most protected superstar on the main roster.
It also cements Strowman's position as the next great giant in the WWE. The Big Show, The Undertaker, and Kane are at the twilights of their careers. It's the right time for the new era of big men like Strowman, Baron Corbin, and Big Cass to take over.
But there are a lot of risks involved in the possible matchup between The Big Dog and The Black Sheep. Reigns winning over Strowman will surely bury him in the midcard and all the things he has done in the past year is going out of the window. On the other hand, the WWE is not going to let the next face of the company lose in the biggest event of the year.
Nevertheless, these are just purely speculative at this point and should be taken with a grain of salt. The WWE tends to alter their plans on a regular basis which makes the matches harder to predict.
